形態特徵

  • Stems to 150 cm tall.
  • Leaves linear, 10-20 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, apex acute, base narrow, sheathing, thinly coriaceous, upper surface lustrous.
  • Peduncle less than 10 cm long. Flowers blooming successively, purple or pale pink, ca. 5 cm across; bracts scale-like, 5-7 mm long, acute; pedicel and ovary ca. 2 cm long; sepals oblong, ca. 3.5 cm long, 1 cm wide, apex acute, base contracted, midrib and veins red; petals obovate, 3.5 cm long, 1.5 cm wide, apex acute, strongly contracted at base; lip cuneate-obovate, 3.5-4 cm long, 2-2.4 cm wide, shallowly 3-lobed, strongly undulate, lateral lobes rectangular, erect and embracing column, refelxed at apex, midlobe nearly square, 1.2 cm long, emarginate, disc with 3 yellow keels running from midlobe to base of lip; column 2 cm long; anther semiovoid, slightly constricted near base; stigma slightly convex under rostellum; rostellum broad, 3-fid.

分布

  • 台灣 : usually in sunny grasslands or waste places below 700 m.
  • 世界 : widespread from the Ryukyus, southern China, the Himalaya through Malaysia to Indochina and the adjacent Pacific islands.
